Julie Gordon graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Journalism in 1976. After reading Mere Christianity (C. S. Lewis) and Evidence That Demands a Verdict (Josh McDowell) in 1980, Julie became a Christian and the world as she knew it, was turned upside down. In 1983, Julie received a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Memphis and developed an obsessive desire to read and learn about Christianity, relationships, family, weight issues, and depression/discouragement.

Julie held her first mentoring group in 1989. The group consisted of five women that met in her den for three years, many of those meetings happening at 6:00 a.m. Five years ago, while hosting three different groups of five women, God granted Julie the final secrets of helping women transform their marriages. During that time, the passion to write Wife Schoolwas birthed. Julie desires to help thousands of Christian women understand that they can quantumly change their marriage if they learn the lessons in Wife School.

Currently, Julie is working on Skinny School-Where Women Learn the Principles of Health and Fitness. This book will be written in a story format like Wife School. The protagonist of Skinny School is Jessica’s younger sister, Jackie. Other books “to be written” will be about conquering discouragement, the mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationship, Husband School (co-written with her husband, David), and many others, God willing.

Julie married her husband, David, in 1983. From 1985 to 1996, Julie and David had six children. Elizabeth is now 28 (married to Trent Gullett), Stephen is 26, Joseph is 24, Jonathan is 22, Benjamin is 19, and Samuel is 17. Julie and David home schooled their children for thirteen years. During this time, David served as the trial attorney for Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA). He is now in private practice in Memphis. David and Julie will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary this fall. The Gordons are members of Harvest Church, in Germantown, Tennessee.

Julie loves going to movies with her husband, going to lunch/dinner with her kids, reading in the sun, and leaving the gym.
