Genie Weight Loss Vegetable Soup
For this soup, I use whatever I have in the fridge. Soup, as you learned in Lesson 12 and 20, calms Emotional Tidal Waves and the Beast (along with Quart Bags)! However, making soup takes time. This is why it is imperative that you frequently remind yourself of your current Top Four Life Goals. You care! You invest time in the areas that are important to you.
This recipe calls for “Homemade chicken broth”. When I buy store-bought, it is just not as good. (You can find the broth recipe in the Genie Chicken Vegetable Soup recipe.)
Ingredients:
64 ounces of homemade chicken broth
3-4 cups of tomato juice
2 cans of Italian diced tomatoes
1 large onion, diced
5 cloves of garlic, minced
2 carrots, sliced thinly
3 stalks of celery, sliced
8 oz. of mushrooms, sliced or chopped
1 cup of green beans
3 cups of shredded cabbage
2 handfuls of spinach leaves
Add whichever of these seasonings you like (I add around a teaspoon of all of them): Parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, and sage.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Bring all to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer and cook for 30-45 minutes.
This recipe is a lifesaver.

Im having issues with breakfast; tired of eggs every day. what other recipes may I use? Any suggestions would be appreciated
Anna, People all over the world eat regular lunch and dinner food for breakfast. In America and Western countries, we think we have to have “special breakfast food”. Every morning, I wait to eat breakfast until I am hungry and often eat leftovers from my dinner the night before. If you are HUNGRY, everything tastes fabulous!! 🙂
That’s so interesting!!! I never knew that!!! This is such a good reason to have turkey kabobs for breakfast!!!
