The wise woman is admonished to build her house (Proverbs 14:1), but how can she do that without wisdom and guidance? The older women are given a very short list in Titus 2 as to what to teach the younger women. In the Interlinear Greek translation at Scripture4All.org, the Titus 2 passage is translated that the older women “may be bringing to sense” (and also, they may be “SANE-ing”) the younger women to be “fond of their husbands”. (After the honeymoon is over, we women have a natural proclivity to begin to be critical of, instead of fond of, our husbands.) Women are not to just treat husbands in a certain way, but they are to learn how to think in a certain way so that they are truly affectionate toward their husbands.
